Celebrate National Minority Health Month!
April is National Minority Health Month! Organized by the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Minority Health, National Minority Health Month seeks to raise awareness about racial and ethnic health disparities, and celebrate the work that is being done to eliminate these disparities and advance health equity. This year’s theme is “Partnering for Health Equity,” drawing particular attention to the vital partnerships between “the federal, state, local, tribal and territorial levels that help reduce disparities in health and health care.”
Throughout the month of April, the Office of Minority Health is offering webinars on reducing health disparities, and asking public health agencies and professionals to share their stories about implementing practices to advance health equity.
